What's the point?

There is a way to cover more than 5 numbers by playing fewer grids than a full cover and having AT LEAST one grid ticking the MINIMUM number of numbers you want among your winning numbers.
Advantage: The reducer system lets you play a lot of numbers without having to pay for full coverage.
Disadvantage: by playing fewer grids, you run the risk of not having THE grid matching all your winning numbers.

Reducer systems are therefore a chance to maximize your winning probabilities.

Let's take an example:
If you want to play all possible combinations of 6 numbers, you'll have to pay for 6 grids (${\displaystyle {\mathrm{C65}}_{}^{}}$).
That's 21 grids for 7 numbers, (${\displaystyle C_7^5}$).
Then 56 grids for 8 numbers,
and 126 grids for 9 numbers, and so on exponentially.
According to the formula : ${\displaystyle C_n^p=\frac{n!}{p!\cdot (n-p)!}}$

Reducer systems allow you to avoid this exponential number of grids. This means you can cover more numbers, but take the risk of not having THE grid corresponding to all your winning numbers.
